ABOUT NOVATECH SURFACES, INC.

Novatech Surfaces manages complex and highly detailed decorative concrete flooring projects for commercial as well as high-end residential clients in the United States and Canada. We also joint-venture with contracting companies around the globe to provide specifications, materials, logistics, procurement and on-site consultancy.

Novatech Surfaces is a consortium of highly talented concrete artisans from across United States and Canada. Our concrete artisans are renowned in the decorative concrete floor covering industry and have years of experience in successfully completing floor covering projects. The work of our artisans is known for exceptional design, for their commitment to the particularity of place and user, and for an extraordinary aesthetic based on a quiet rigor which is both intellectual and intuitive.

Novatech Surfaces’ work ranges greatly in scale and circumstance. The flooring projects we undertake are alive to the subtleties of place – man-made or natural, to the varied natures of people, to the sensibilities of individuals, to the character of institutions, and to the rich possibilities of materials and the means of construction.

Increasingly, we have come to see that, in a sense, circumstances are infinite and that working within any one set of habits is too limiting. We must be alive to the subtleties of place and people in order to ensure that our work and the materials we use reflect the finest attributes of both the client’s character and their environment. This can mean anything from a large scale endeavor to project the core values of an institution through symbolic art, to a small scale effort to imbue a room in a client’s home with a certain feel.  With both intellect and intuition, we seek solutions that respond to the web of circumstances at hand.

To complete your floor covering project, our artisans use one or more of the following processes -

  1. Concrete restoration and resurfacing with polymer modified concrete
  2. Polishing Concrete
  3. Concrete acid staining
  4. Use of dyes and water based stains
  5. Stamped Concrete
  6. Resin (Epoxy, Polyurethane, Polyaspartic) based flooring systems

Over the years the interplay of concrete artisans within our practice and our responses to more complex and demanding projects has broadened our view of the factors that affect our work. Each new project requires that we peel away the layers of our habits and preconceptions. We require open-mindedness, kindness, and an element of courage derived from a client’s unbarred willingness to explore artistic motifs to possibility’s edge--which is where all true art is found.
