POLYMER CONCRETE
Polymer modified concrete (PMC) is used as an alternative to breaking out and replacing an existing concrete slab, which can be expensive, messy, disruptive and time-consuming.
PMC is ideal for:
- smoothing and leveling uneven or spalled concrete surfaces
- acid staining an existing concrete slab that has been previously acid stained, painted or sealed (with acrylic or epoxy sealers)
- converting a floor that has vct, ceramic, quarry or marble tiles into beautiful concrete floors. In many cases there may not be any need to remove the existing floor covering. The modern polymer technology allows the polymer modified concrete to bond to existing surfaces
- resurfacing floors that have been covered with carpet, sheet vinyl, vinyl tile and hardwood
- adding variegated colors, patterns, textures and designs on the floor
- creating a canvas for imparting art work, logos and stencils
Polymer modified concrete (also called Concrete Overlays) allows us to adopt all the different coloring methods, namely – integral colors, acid stains and dyes. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities!
